Traditional Values

At Christmas time every child is involved in our annual Nativity where the children all have their own parts, get in costume, sing traditional Christmas carols all for the families to watch. This is then followed by tea, coffee and mince pies.

We also have our yearly Christmas party where we have an entertainer, food and rink and even a special visit from Father Christmas!

Painted Easter Eggs

Just like at Easter, we all learn special harvest songs for our harvest festival! We perform in the church to our families at our very own Harvest festival. We also encourage the children to donate food which is then given out to those less fortunate along with the donations from the Church.

Leavers Ceremony and School Trip:

At the end of each year, we say goodbye to a group of children going off to big school. To celebrate their time with us, these children go on a trip to The Rare Breeds Centre and enjoy the day with their key people and friends, seeing the animals, playing in the grounds and exploring.

We also hold a leaver's ceremony on the very last day of the year where parents/carers come and watch as the children 'graduate' from Little Acorns getting a special certificate from Tracy to celebrate their time with us.

At Easter time, we all get involved in some egg-celent activities! The children learn Easter themed songs to perform at an Easter sing-a-long where we also have an egg decorating contest and a Bonnet Parade where we encourage all children to get involved! After this, there is also a big Easter egg hunt!

Sports Day:

Every year we hold our very own sports day! The children all enjoy taking part in various races, including classic running races, a bean bag on head race, ball and bowl race and our new obstacle race for the school leavers! This takes place in our garden so all parents/carers can come and cheer the children on!
